My name is Patrick Neumann. I am an 34 years old Padi Scuba Instructor and ambitious UW - photographer. I was born in cologne, germany in 1974.

I started diving as a young boy of 7 years when my father took me with him to explore the beauty of the world below the surface.

Since then i did many dives in the Gulf of Thailand, Andaman Sea incl. Similan Islands, Spain, Netherlands, Florida Keys, Red Sea North, Red Sea South, Anilao - Philippines, Hurghada, Safaga, Greece, Croatia and many lakes and rivers in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland.

After working for an credit insurance company for 14 years, where i was responsible to take care for the belongings of the key account customers and to check the creditworthiness of their customers, i decided to make diving my business.

In June 2007 i did my IDC at Dive-Point-Red Sea in Hurghada with my Course Director Matthias Breit and i became a Padi OWSI after passing the IE.
From January - Mai 2008 & from November - April 2009 i worked on a safari boat in Thailand.

What comes next? We`ll see :)

Most recently i travelled to Anilao, Philippines which is THE PLACE for Macro Photography and to the Tempels of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. In April 2009 i also travelled to Papua New Guiniea.

In March 2006 i took the first time a digital housed camera with me for diving and i got hooked immediately. I have been loving it from the first shot on and the love is still growing with every picture i shoot.

First i took my underwater images with a housed Sealife Reefmaster DC 500 with an external strobe SL 960, Wideangel lens and macro lenses. After two photo-trips with this setup i decided to sell the Sealife and i bought a Fuji E900 in an Ikelite housing, Twin Inon strobes, 2x Inon macro lenses UCL 165 and the Inon Fisheye lens UWL 165.

I finally upgraded to a DSLR camera. My choice was the Canon 400D/XTI Rebell with several macro & WA lenses in an Hugyfot housing & twin Inon strobes. It`s a beast :-)))
